King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center Launches Food Security Project for Syrian and Palestinian Refugees and the Host Community in Jordan

The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center, in collaboration with the Jordanian National Alliance Against Hunger and Malnutrition (Najma), launched the 2022 Food Security Support Project for Syrian and Palestinian refugees living outside camps and within the host community in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, in the presence of the Deputy Ambassador of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques to Jordan, Walid Khan; the Deputy Chair of the National Alliance, Ali Al-Ghazawi; and the Director of the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center’s branch in Jordan, Saud bin Abdulaziz Al-Hazeem.
Through this project, the center will provide basic food supplies to Syrian and Palestinian refugees and the Jordanian host community for a period of six months across all Jordanian governorates. This will be done by distributing magnetic cards to beneficiaries every two months, which can be used at designated stores to purchase food items. The project, valued at $2 million, will benefit 28,865 individuals from 5,773 families.
The project reflects the humanitarian and relief efforts provided by the Kingdom, represented by the Center, with the aim of assisting refugee families and the most vulnerable members of the host community, and helping to improve their living conditions
